We specialize in drayage services for international shippers, steamship lines, freight forwarders, and 3rd party logistics providers.

Our drayage chassis routinely travel as far as 300 miles from our terminal locations. Having locations in both the Chicago and Kansas City areas gives us a strategic geographic advantage. Trucking companies ship more than 50 million tons of freight every year out of Chicago utilizing the area’s massive railroad infrastructure and access to the Great Lakes. Our locations are close enough to intercontinental rail lines, and almost equal distance between both coasts.

With our trucks, we service retailers, wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers. While we can manage all your freight needs, with our equipment, we specialize in:

Dedicated contract carriage. The Mark-it Express team is expert at managing dedicated lanes and regularly scheduled routes for our customers. Our dedicated contract carriage gives our customers the flexibility and stable pricing of a private fleet without all the hassles. We manage the operations including drivers, vehicles, maintenance, safety processes, regulatory compliance and risk management, while our customer focus on their core business. Mark-It Express can also manage your milk runs and round trip transportation needs.

Special projects. Many transportation companies shy away from special projects because they lack the knowledge, project management skills and assets to meet the deliverables. Special projects is where Mark-it Express shines. We have the assets, team, know-how and resources necessary to tackle your special project whether it be moving a factory, managing seasonal demands, or moving freight between modes. Bring us your biggest, messiest project and we will bring you a solution.

Refrigerated transport. Using our refrigerated vans (reefers), we can manage your food transportation needs. Our client lists includes the biggest names in the food supply chain and we understand food distribution and food safety standards. We are Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) compliant carrier and our Director of Safety is HACCP certified.

At Mark-It Express we provide temporary and fully-outsourced driver leasing services. Many companies are finding that managing a fleet of trucks and a team of drivers is a hassle they no longer want.
